Brand-names like Kenmore, amana, and Maytag offer a variety of less expensive products. We took a look at models priced at $500 or below to find out what users have to say about them. Here's what we know about cheaper models:
- Energy efficiency: users report that inexpensive models tend to be less energy efficient than more expensive models.
- Performance: even though these dryers are at the cheaper end of the market, they still get very high ratings from users in relation to high performance.
- Quiet: user opinion indicates that these aren't the quietest models on the market, in comparison to higher end models.
- Quality: money doesn't buy quality, when it comes to dryers; users report that models that cost less than $500 actually have higher quality on average than the $500+ models.
Even at the lower end of the market, users are in agreement that these appliances are still able to offer enough quality in performance and build.
