Facial masks are one of the most expensive skin care products on the market, save for some eye creams and anti-aging treatments. And while you may be determined to keep your cost low for these types of products, you're likely concerned at the cost/quality tradeoff: are cheaper products not as good? less effective? There must be a reason that pricier products are indeed, pricier.
We collected hundreds of opinions about facial masks from around the web, to find out what users are really saying about each and every product. We analyzed these opinions and teased out the ones about product value, which describe how users feel about the cost of the product in relation to what they're actually getting. Here's what we found:
- Value doesn't mean cheap. Sorry, folks. If you're hoping to find a mask that is brilliant and inexplicably cheaper than the rest, you'll find one (check out our #1 product below), but this mostly isn't the case. In general, users felt they were getting their money's worth with pricier products that did a good job.
- Value=Quality. That's good news! Users associate high value with high quality. Meaning, in this case, money does buy quality.
- Products aimed at men aren't considered very high value. If you are looking for a gender-neutral product, best to aim for a unisex product or one without a strong fragrance or packaging. These are considered a better buy than products marketed for men.
Check out the products below. These Top 5 were scored based on how high value users feel they are. There is a nice variety of ingredients, fragrances and prices to match any buyer's preference and price range.
